Fazlani Foods is pleased to announce our new range of Vegetarian Indian classic ready meals. The new Ready-to-eat collection consists of the following:- Aloo Mutter, Subz-e-Biryani, Amritsari Chole, Rajma Masala, Dal Makhani, Dal Tadka, shahi Paneer, Palak Paneer, Brinjal Curry, Steamed Basmati Rice. All these products will soon be available for worldwide distribution early in 2011.

Other products coming soon include a range of Seafoods, Pickles, Chutneys, Cooking Pastes and Indian Sweets.

Sesame Seeds Crop 2010-11

You might naturally be interested to know more about the New Crop (2010-11) Sesame Seeds report from India. Hence we present you below our assessment based on report carried out by our field staff….

The monsoon has been generous in India this year and the sowing starting in right earnest. The timely rains continued for most part of the monsoon, but turned somewhat hostile at the end, because of which there were damages to the crop in some parts of India. Furthermore, farmers across India have shifted to other crops which give them better yield and remuneration. Hence, overall area used for growing Sesame Seeds as well as production this year is less than last year:-

The present estimated production in major producing areas is as under:

Madhya Pradesh 80,000 mt

Uttar Pradesh 75,000 mt

Rajasthan 80,000 mt

Gujarat 40,000 mt

275,000 mt

Please note the above is based on Government Data; however you all are well aware that India is a huge country and it is difficult to ascertain precise report.

On the international front, it is clear to all of us that crop is short in China, Pakistan and to a certain extent in India (production is not fairly large as initially expected) hence we do not expect prices to weaken in the short to medium term infact there are all probabilities of prices rising either slowly/abruptly in the near future.
